Virtual InterLab 2012 Wrap-up

Thanks to everyone who participated in the first Virtual InterLab, April 24 and 25, 2012. Despite the unavoidable technical snafu’s, everything went according to plan and we received feedback from attendees that our program focusing on mobile content delivery was right on target. We hope that this event will be model for future online collaboration within the DOE lab complex.

Please remember to stay in touch. We have so many outlets that there’s really no excuse not to: Facebook, www.facebook.com/DOE.InterLab , this WordPress site, the InterLab mailing list and @DOE_Interlab on Twitter.

Here are the speaker presentations:

Important changes in event information

This message is for people who have already registered for Virtual InterLab as of Wednesday, April 18th at 3:45PM: Due to unexpectedly high demand for this event and a need to increase capacity, the GoToMeeting location must be moved to an account with more capacity.

Expect to see a new email from NREL GoToMeeting with Confirmation: “Session 1″ and Confirmation: “Session 2″ in the subject line. Use the information in these emails to log in to Virtual InterLab.

Older emails from “DOE InterLab Committee” with “Order Confirmation for Virtual InterLab 2012″ in the subject line will have the old, outdated event information. Please disregard these notices and use the new information from “NREL GoToMeeting.” We apologize for the confusion.

Each registrant will have a unique login for this event. No additional action should be required by you at this time, except to look for, hang on to, and use this new GoToMeeting event information!

Sincerely,
The DOE InterLab Committee

Announcing Virtual InterLab 2012

This year InterLab will be a virtual one, delivered to your desk via GoToMeeting live. The dates are set for April 24 and 25. Check out the event page for more details, or register now:

Please note that there are two events listed – register for each one you intend to attend!

We decided to host a virtual webinar series this year for several reasons:

  • We decided to move the live convention event to be hosted in the spring.
  • To test the format for delivering web-based conferences via the Internet which would:
    • Save on travel costs
    • Reach out to a wider audience within the DOE web community

Full details may be found at the event page.
